At around 4:00 am this morning, almost everyone on my floor of the hotel was woken up by a female screaming while running up and down the hallway. For a few hours before this, Room 11024, the room across from mine, had people coming in and out, making a lot of noise. I finally went out to see what was going on. A completely naked young woman was running my way, from one end of the hallway. She was screaming and crying. Behind her was a man in his boxers. He was trying to get her back into the room, but she continued running to the other end of the hallway, throwing herself against the wall and screaming hysterically. The guy in his boxers told me he doesn’t know why she was doing that and that she just met his friends last night. He went inside his room and closed the door.
A male hotel security guard came and told the young woman to “shut up” but was hesitant to get too close to her, probably because she was naked. She kept wailing as though she was possessed. As she tried to run down the hallway again, the security guard tackled her and BAM!, she was on the floor, face down and still wailing.
It was pretty obvious the young woman was drugged out of her mind. There were at least ten guests that had come out of their rooms to check out the commotion. A lady down the hallway said she saw six friends of that guy leaving when the young woman started screaming in the hallway, but she did not know into which room the guy in the boxers had disappeared. I pointed to the room across from mine.
The guy in the room must have been peeping through the hole because, when a female security guard was about to knock, he came out, fully dressed and had a tie on. He again said the young woman met his friends last night and that he doesn’t know why she was screaming like that. The female security guard entered his room.
The young woman, at this point, was being held down by two male security guards. I brought a towel to cover her and saw that her lower half was covered by one of the security guards’ jacket. The girl was still screaming but had calmed down a little. The female security guard then brought a sheet from Room 11024 to cover her. A few of the other hotel guests shouted that the sheet needs to be preserved and tested for DNA.
The paramedics eventually arrived and took the young woman away in a wheelchair, covered by the sheet. She was unconscious. I felt very sorry for her. The security guards told the guy that the cops will come soon to talk to him. The cops did arrive a while later, but I don’t know what happened then.
This is extremely repulsive. I was even more repulsed when I heard the guy and his friend, who had returned to the room, asking if they will be charged for the room when they were being asked to leave. While I have no evidence that the young woman was drugged and raped, this incident makes me extremely angry with the way some men treat women. Sexual acts with a female, without her full consent are wrong, illegal and barbaric. Getting her intoxicated or drugging her until she cannot say, “no,” is rape. Rape is not caused by the way she dresses, dances, looks, walks, talks, smiles or interacts with you, your friends and other people. Rape is caused by rapists. Whether the perpetrator is a male or a female, it is rape. Whether the victim is a male or a female, it is rape. Rape is rape, even in Las Vegas. - Harry
